A record year for New Phytologist

Papers published in New Phytologist were cited over 100,000 times and overall readership, measured as downloads, was in excess of 9 million in 2025.

Collections through time: legacy and evolution

Our annual New Phytologist Editor-in-Chief Symposium was held on Friday 3 July 2026 at the University of Tartu, home institution of New Phytologist’s Editor-in-Chief, Maarja Öpik.

Thank you to all who attended and contributed towards the success of the symposium. We are delighted to congratulate four prize winners.
