Biography
I am Drishti Kataria, and I work in Prof. Anjan Kumar’s research group here at IISER, Pune. I am a researcher in plant sciences specializing in developmental biology and the molecular regulation of crop traits, with a primary focus on tuberization in potato (Solanum tuberosum). The work seeks to unravel the developmental roles of novel regulatory elements, including long non-coding RNAs, integrating high-throughput computational approaches such as RNA-Seq analysis with experimental methodologies to investigate key mechanisms underlying plant development with an aim of understanding how regulatory networks govern critical agronomic traits.
Grounded in plant developmental biology, my research aims to connect molecular-level discoveries to practical strategies for enhancing crop productivity and advancing agricultural sustainability.
