The New Phytologist Foundation: supporting plant science in 2023

We are pleased to have supported a wide variety of plant science community conferences and workshops during 2023. We especially seek to support early career researchers in attending events in their field, and we offer our congratulations to all of the prize recipients listed below.

  • Poster prize awarded to Yen-Ning Chen, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan.

 

Botanical Microscopy Meeting 2023, Norwich, UK, 2–4 April

  • Supported attendance by early career researchers.

 

Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation, Coimbatore, India, 2–6 July

  • Abhishek Gopal, Centre for Cell and Molecular Biology, India, received the New Phytologist Prize in Plant Biology Best Oral Presentation.
  • Megha Ojha, Indian Instutute of Science Education and Research, Pune, India, received the New Phytologist Prize in Plant Biology Best Poster Presentation.

 

Trees in time: the 7th annual BIFoR community meeting, Birmingham, UK, 4–5 July

  • Early career researcher poster prize.

 

European photosynthesis workshop, Castle Lautrach, Germany, 11–4 July

  • Early career researcher speaker prize.

 

The 2023 Jasmonate Meeting, Halle, Germany, 29 August–3 September

  • Two poster prizes, awarded to Stefan Mielke, IPB-Halle, Germany; and Javier Lidoy.
