In this interactive workshop New Phytologist Editors will share their latest research with you, as well as guide you through the publication process and provide some useful tips and advice on how publish your own work. You will also hear about the forthcoming New Phytologist next generation scientists’ symposium that will take place at IISER Pune in December 2026 and find out how you can get involved!

This workshop will be led by:

The workshop will start at 10:00 and conclude at 13:15, following the workshop participants are invited to join us for lunch.

  • An introduction to The New Phytologist Foundation and New Phytologist

  • Talk from Keith Lindsey – ‘Ethylene signalling and crosstalk in Arabidopsis’.

  • Talk from Nathalie Verbruggen  – ‘HY5 regulates cadmium tolerance and accumulation in Arabidopsis thaliana roots

  • Publishing workshop – navigating the publishing process. This session will be an interactive session where you can lean about publishing in general, the peer review process and getting involved with journals.

  • Next generation scientists, Pune 2026, how to get involved
