Biography
Michael Kearney is a professor and Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow in ecology and evolution in the School of Biological Sciences who studies the environmental limits of organisms. He has additional interests in evolutionary problems, including the loss of sexual reproduction. He has mostly worked on animals but is diversifying into the fascinating world of plants. He is the developer and maintainer of the NicheMapR software package for biophysical modelling.
