Biography
Maria E. Eriksson is an Associate Professor at Umeå Plant Science Centre, Umeå University, Sweden. Her research explores how the plant circadian clock integrates environmental cues such as light and temperature to control growth, seasonal development, and stress responses in Arabidopsis and trees. Spanning from controlled cellular studies to recent field experiments with transgenic Populus, her work highlights how modifying light and clock pathways can support tree adaptation to new climates.
