Biography

Fernando Valladares holds a PhD in biology, is a researcher at the Spanish National Research Council, and an associate professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid. He is a highly cited scientist, with numerous research projects on the role of biodiversity and the impacts of climate change and human activity on ecosystems. In 2021, he received the Jaume I Prize in the Environmental Protection category and the BBVA Foundation Environmental Communication Award. His concern for the environmental crisis has led him to actively disseminate information about it in various media outlets and on his social media channel, The Health of Humanity.
