New Phytologist next generation scientists 2019

22-25 July 2019, University College Dublin, Ireland

Welcome and invitation

On behalf of the New Phytologist Trust and the organising committee, I am pleased to invite you to New Phytologist next generation scientists 2019. This is the third in our next generation symposia series, and we welcome applications from early career researchers to join us for our first next generation scientists event in Ireland.

Who is this meeting for?

New Phytologist next generation scientists is a meeting organised by, and for, early career researchers. We welcome applications from:

  • Undergraduate or Masters students.
  • PhD students.
  • Individuals with up to five years' experience after gaining their PhD. Career breaks don't count towards this five year total.

How do I register?

Aply to attend by filling out the registration form via the link to the left (or the menu above if you're using a mobile device). We'll need a 200 word statement from you, and a letter of support (usually from your supervisor). You should also submit an abstract for a poster that you would present at the meeting before the registration deadline.

How much does it cost?

Registration is free and includes accommodation, meals, and social events. Some assistance with travel costs will also be available. We ask for a £25 refundable deposit to secure your place.

I gained my PhD more than five years ago. Can I still attend?

We have a very limited number of places for individuals who have more than five years' post-PhD experience to attend the meeting in a mentoring capacity. Please contact us for more information.

The deadline for applications is 29 April 2019.

I look forward to welcoming you to Dublin in 2019!
