We're delighted to congratulate the winners of two awards sponsored by The New Phytologist Foundation at the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation's 61st annual meeting, held this year in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Ellen Quinlan, a Doctoral Student at Wake Forest University, is the winner of the New Phytologist Award for Best Student Oral Presentation in Plant Biology for their talk, 'Patterns of diversification, gene flow, and functional diversity across an Andes elevation gradient.'

Liliana López-Olmedo, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, is the winner of the New Phytologist Award for Best Student Poster, for their poster titled 'Decoupled environmental filtering between plant taxonomic and phylogenetic diversities in a tropical heterogeneous landscape.'
