The New Phytologist Foundation is delighted to congratulate Gaia Galiberti, who was awarded the New Phytologist Foundation poster prize for her poster, 'Uncovering the molecular basis of higher order septin assembly and its role in the appressorium of Magnaporthe oryzae', presented at the Biochemical Society's 'Plant proteins: functions, regulation, production and utility' conference.

Gaia is a PhD student working on a collaborative project between the Webster group at the John Innes Centre and the Talbot group at The Sainsbury Laboratory.

The New Phytologist Foundation sponsored Plant proteins: functions, regulation, production and utility, which was held at the University of Leeds from 21st to 23rd October 2025.
