Travel information

The department of Botany and Biodiversity Research, University of Vienna, can be reached by:

• Public transport: Schnellbahn (S1, S2, S3 or S7), bus (77A) or tram (line 71 or O). The closest stops are Rennweg (Schnellbahn, bus and tram line 71 and O) and Unteres Belvedere (line 71). Both stops are within walking distance (3 minutes). Use the route planner or follow the instructions below.
  
  From the airport: Schnellbahn S7 (goes every 30 min) from Vienna International Airport (VIE) to Rennweg station.
  
  From railway station Hauptbahnhof:  Tram O in front of Hauptbahnhof to Rennweg or Schnellbahn from station Südtirolerplatz - Hauptbahnhof to Rennweg station.
  
  From railway station Westbahnhof: Underground U3 from station Westbahnhof to station Landstraße - Wien Mitte and then Schnellbahn to Rennweg.
   
• Taxi: approximately €30-€40 (35-40 minutes) from Vienna International Aiport.
