Letters of invitation
If you require a visa to enter China, the New Phytologist Trust, working together with the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, will provide a letter of invitation upon request. To be eligible to request a letter of invitation, you must first register to attend the 37th New Phytologist Symposium.
Once you have registered please contact np-symposia@lancaster.ac.uk and we will send you more information along with a form to complete.
Due to the fact that an application for a visa can be a lengthy process, the New Phytologist Trust recommends that you start your visa application process early: 90 to 120 days prior to the conference. We would also like to note that in issuing you with a letter of invitation, it is not a commitment from the symposium or the organisers to provide any financial support, and you will still need to apply for a visa.
