Interaction networks and trait evolution

Travel

Zurich Airport is a large international airport, only a short distance away from the University. Tram line 10 runs regularly from the airport to the University and takes approximately half an hour. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport, which will take under 20 minutes.

Zurich Main Station (Zurich HB) is a 15 minute walk away from the University. There are also regular tram services between the station and the University, which take between 10 and 15 minutes.

Visa

If you require a visa to enter Switzerland, please visit https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home/themen/einreise.html for more information.

If you require a letter of invitation, the New Phytologist Trust, working together with our local organiser, will provide a letter of invitation upon request. To be eligible to request a letter of invitation, you must first register and pay to attend the 43rd New Phytologist Symposium.

Once you have registered, please contact np-symposia@lancaster.ac.uk and we will send you more information.

Due to the fact that an application for a visa can be a lengthy process, the New Phytologist Trust recommends that you start your visa application process early: 90 to 120 days prior to the conference. We would also like to note that in issuing you with a letter of invitation, it is not a commitment from the symposium or the organisers to provide any financial support, and you will still need to apply for a visa.
