Tansley reviews now freely available on eLS
Last updated: 15 Jan, 2014
As part of our ongoing work to promote plant science, and in particular by supporting students and early-career scientists, we are delighted to make New Phytologist Tansley reviews available on eLS (http://www.els.net/WileyCDA/Section/id-817953.html). The Trust provides open access for our Tansley reviews and as such, a subscription to eLS is not required to access them.
The Tansley review series was initiated nearly 30 years ago to provide a service to the international community of plant scientists. Named in recognition of the founder of the journal, Sir Arthur Tansley, these specially invited reviews have proved to be both authoritative and accessible – all are written by scientists engaged in the most exciting, ground-breaking research and, in keeping with Tansley's philosophy, we encourage a personal perspective, with lively and thought provoking discussion. Although dealing with major research topics in some depth – to provide a 'touchstone' for those intending to enter the field – the reviews are also written to be reasonably accessible to the non-specialist.
The complete archive of Tansley reviews are freely available at: www.newphytologist.org/reviews
eLS (previously known as the Encyclopedia of Life Sciences) provides a comperehensive resource of peer-reviewed, citable reviews with topics that span the whole of the life sciences. More information can be found on the eLS website (www.els.net).
