The New Phytologist Trust is participating in a pilot with Kudos, an award-winning service that aims to maximise the reach and impact of research publications. Through partner organisations Research Media and Research Square, Kudos will begin offering professionally-created lay summaries, infographics and videos, designed to accompany articles and enhance the readership and impact of research.

“We are always looking for new ways to support our authors,” said New Phytologist Editor-in-Chief Alistair Hetherington. “This pilot is a great way to reward and strengthen our relationship with key researchers.” Created through consultation with authors, the materials that Kudos produce will be hosted on the Kudos platform and made available for authors to use freely – on blogs and social media feeds, for example.

We’re excited about the potential of our partnership with Kudos for engaging new audiences and communicating the excellent plant science published in New Phytologist. In the meantime, be sure to follow @NewPhyt on Twitter, like New Phytologist on Facebook, and check out the New Phyt blog for all the latest from the journal and the New Phytologist Trust. If you have any questions about the Kudos pilot, get in touch.
