Versailles is an important administrative and judicial centre, with a large number of historical monuments. The city of Versailles is located in the western suburbs of Paris, 17 km from the centre of Paris. Versailles is made world famous by the Château de Versailles, from the forecourt of which the city has grown.

Paris has two international airports, Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY). CDG is approx. 50km from Versailles and a taxi fare will cost around € 50-60. ORY is closer (approx. 25km) and a taxi fare will cost around € 30–40. There are also options for trains and buses. Please see the below information.

How to reach INRA Versailles
Public Transport from Paris

From train stations SNCF MONTPARNASSE and RER C INVALIDES-AUSTERLITZ :
Go toSAINT-CYR station, then follow the road Route Départementale 10 (RD10) towards Versailles (10 minutes on foot).

From train stations SNCF MONTPARNASSE and RER C INVALIDES-AUSTERLITZ :
Go to VERSAILLES-CHANTIER station, then take the Bus Phébus Line P

By car

From Paris Pte d'Auteuil (Paris Métro)
Get on the A13 going to ROUEN. Take exit 6 SAINT-GERMAIN/VERSAILLES. Go left to VERSAILLES by the D186. At the Place de la Loi, take a right turn towards VERSAILLES-CHATEAU. Go round the Place des Armes, and continue on the D10 towards SAINT-CYR.

From Orly Airport
Get on the N7 going towards VILLEJUIF, then the A86 going towards VERSAILLES. Take the VERSAILLES-CHATEAU exit. take the D91, then the D10 on the left towards SAINT-CYR.

From Roissy C.D.G. Airport
Get on the A1 going towards PARIS/PORTE DE LA CHAPELLE. Take the BOULEVARD PERIPHERIQUE EXTERIEUR going towards ROUEN. Take the A13 going towards ROUEN. Take exit 6 SAINT-QUENTIN/VERSAILLES. Go left to VERSAILLES by the D186. At the Place de la Loi, take a right turn towards VERSAILLES-CHATEAU. Go round the Place des Armes, and continue on the D10 towards SAINT-CYR.
