The meeting will take place at the Yanling Hotel, Guangzhou. Guangzhou is the capital and a sub-provincial city of Guangdong Province in the southern part of the People's Republic of China. The city is also known by an alternative English name, Canton. It is a port on the Pearl River, navigable to the South China Sea, and is located about 120 km (75 miles) northwest of Hong Kong.

Guangzhou has a lovely climate year-round with almost no winter, with the annual average temperature being 22 degrees. Autumn, from October to December, is very moderate, cool and windy, and is the best reported to be the best time to visit. There are many tourist attractions such as the Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family, White Cloud Mountain (Baiyun Shan), Temple of the Six Banyan trees and Yuexiu Park where historical relics such as the Five-Ram Sculpture, Zhenhai Tower, the site of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and the Square Cannon Site are all situated.

Travel

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is located on the border of the northern Renhe Town, Baiyun District, and the eastern Xinhua Town, Huadu District. It is about 28 km (17.4 miles) from the airport to downtown Guangzhou. At the current time flights to Guangzhou from European cities start from €750 EUR and from west coast USA $1000 USD. Alternatively flying to Hong Kong and then catching the train to Guangzhou is an option, the journey taking between 1hr 30 min and 2hrs.
